Parent Resources

Parents, we believe it is our greatest gift to "train a child up in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6) and also to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your strength...and repeat God's words to your children; talking about them when you are sitting in your house and walking along the road and when you lie down and when you get up....(Deuteronomy 6: 5-7; some paraphrase).  However, we also believe that you should not walk this journey in parenting alone but rather in gospel-centered community.

Therefore, we have provided what we hope will be some helpful resources to guide, assist, and strengthen you as you disciple your little humans.

First, at Providence City Church, we believe one of the best ways to have gospel-centered community is to be involved in a city group.  We have many groups that meet during the week in peoples' homes and we also have a new discipleship course beginning Thursday, Sept. 5th which will be great for you as parents as it will help teach you how to teach your children to walk out their faith and give them a solid biblical foundation.

City groups is a time where we dig into Scripture, wrestle with hard questions, pray, seek Jesus, enjoy meals with one another, and just do real life things together.  It is in these groups where our love for Christ grows deepest and our faith grows strongest.  You can find a list of current groups below and you can also contact our associate pastor, Trent Hopkins, for more information at trent.hopkins@providencecitychurch.org.

Second, in 2025, we will be launching, Milestone Pathways.  These pathways are what we consider to be several of the major milestones in your child's life and many times, a new step in your parenting journey.  We will be hosting gatherings throughout the year to mark each milestone by providing resources, a Q&A time, a "what's next" overview, and a celebration of the current milestone.

A calendar and descriptions of these Milestone Pathways will be found below as they are available.

Additionally, we have provided a link for you to receive our weekly curriculum resources for at home use.

Finally, on this page, we have provided you with many links to ministry partner resources.  Please take some time to click through and if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to reach out to our Children's Director, Crystal Norman, at crystal.norman@providencecitychurch.org.

We hope you will find all of these resources edifying and encouraging as you are just beginning your parenting journey or have been traveling a while on this beautiful adventure.  Parenting is one of the most sanctifying of all journeys, but seeing and experiencing the beauty and treasure of our utter dependence on God's grace and mercy along the way is worth every moment.

God bless you parents!  We love you, we are here for you, and we are praying for you!

Love, the Collide Kids Leadership Team

This is a documentary film that highlights the new reality that our children live in every day. It is intense and eye opening to the things that the internet and smart devices opens up our family to when left unchecked.
